Katalyst exists to create an exciting environment where young people can encounter God and to facilitate the discovery of a personal, active relationship with Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Through friendships, bible study, worship, prayer and serving, we explore how the bible relates to us and how we relate to the church. We empower young people to be an active part of Jubilee Church, Worthing.
Katalyst aims to help build a faith that has foundations that will last and a faith that can be shared. We are about equipping young people to make Jesus famous in Worthing and the nations!
Libby Wray leads the team of enthusiastic and passionate volunteers and together they run Katalyst groups...
Sunday Meetings, 10am - 12pm
Every Sunday morning, we join the wider church to worship. Three times a month, during the preach, we meet at the Glynn Youth Hub. This is our main time of seeking God's word through the bible, discussion and prayer, often this involves food and hot chocolate! Katalyst members can often be found serving as part of Jubilee Church on the Connect team, set up team, worship group, AV team or in the children's work.
REACT, 7pm - 8.30pm
On the first Monday of the month we meet as smaller groups of 6-12 young people, meeting with adult leaders in friend’s houses. This is a time to go deeper into how to live your life as a Christian, to share our lives together, chat, worship, discuss and pray .
IGNITION, 6.30pm - 8pm
On the 3rd Friday of the month, we hold a worship evening especially for Katalyst. Come and hear what God is saying to your generation today!
Young people and their friends are invited to join us at our socials, every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, where we build friendships and have fun together.
Each young person in Jubilee has the option of meeting in groups of 2 or 3 with a mentor. An informal time to ask an older Christian some questions and feel supported as they journey with God.
There are many other exciting activities to be involved in as part of Katalyst:
We attend Newday, a large annual youth camp during the first week of the school summer holidays.
Katalyst weekends away, during February half term.
Joining UNITE, the town wide, joint Worthing churches, youth events.
Informal times to just hang out together.
If you’d like to join in with any of the Katalyst activities, please email Libby at email@example.com for more information.
